Teapot Fairy House

I have always enjoyed creating fairy gardens with my younger sister. However, the one main flaw that I have always discovered when later revisiting fairy gardens that I have created is that there is no way to tell whether fairies have taken up residence in the houses.  So, I have created this teapot house where we can clearly see that there is a resident fairy, namely the witch cat shown in the doorway. Whether she is conjuring storms inside her house, having a rave, or merely celebrating Christmas, there is always something happening inside of this fairy house!
An early prototype of my project, it only includes the neopixel strip running my code.
The second prototype of my project. A foamcore box housing the neopixel strip, arduino, wires, and battery pack
My design for the box to hold the hardware for my project. There is a hole in the lid to feed the neopixels into the bottom of the teapot and there is a smaller hole for the button.
The body of the teapot. It is basically a tube that I filled with neopixels.
The lid of my teapot! It was originally connected to the teapot but I sliced it off so that I could remove it if I choose.
A wiring diagram for my project.
A diagram for my finite state machine. All of the ellipses are states for my neopixels and the diagram shows how to cycle through them by pressing a button.
